splus

i spent almost an hour trying to figure out what the specifications for "splus 20 x 60" meant in a materials detail sent from japan. i assumed that "splus" was some sort of special hardware fixture they had in japan, or an initial for something else...

only after my coworker read the "splus" and "sprus" did the realization come that they meant to specify a "spruce" baseboard of 20 x 60.

apparently splus = sprus = spruce.

oh those r's and l's are tricky creatures.
