After a rather long session of pinups, I am left feeling a bit uninspired and uncreative. Our design prompt was as follows:
The first experiment will focus on the design of a spatial assembly of a building component. In a Miesian understanding, the design of the assembly should focus on the tectonics of constructing, let aside program. Two additional attributes should be added to the assembly: One will be related to the "Poetics of space" (Usability, Spatial, Formal), the other will be related to the crafting of space (System, Technology, Modularity).
After one week, all I have are a jumble of ideas and a small stack of models.
Form without program?
Modularity + pattern?
Pascal's Triangle?
Numerical analysis?
Ahhh, I think I'm suffering from a lack of intellectual dialogue. Or not even dialogue, some sort of interesting questions to ponder or dwell upon?
o jumble, when will you unwind?
